Historic Roswell Public House
This was an interesting project and learning about the history of the building made for some fun surprises.
Downtown Roswell
If you’ve ever been to downtown Roswell you’ve probably enjoyed the distinct experience of being immediately thrust into the heart and soul of Roswell’s history. This area boasts some of the most beautiful and historical buildings in the Atlanta metro. It’s a great place to go on a lazy Sunday to shop, walk along the quaint downtown sidewalks, and enjoy a fine brunch at one of the latest Roswell landmarks, J. Christophers.
J. Christophers History
Baldwin Architects have been designing J. Christophers restaurants since they first opened their doors in 1996. Since then, there have been over a dozen new locations opened up across the Southeast. We are proud to be a part of each of these new designs, and we love the food!
The Public House
In 2010 we completed renovations on The Public House, an historical, antebellum building at the heart of downtown Roswell. Our immediate goals were to increase traffic flow, add safety features, add design a streamlined espresso bar and improve the overall ambiance of the interior by opening it up and bringing in more lighting. All of the standard amenities were brought up to the 21st century and an under-utilized bar is now replaced with more floor space for diners to enjoy.
We are very proud to have the opportunity to bring new life to this historical building. It's a landmark one that brings out so much of the character of this city and gives hungry diners from all over a delightful dining experience.
This is one of 16 J. Christopher’s projects we've completed for the group and are proud to be associated with such a quality restaurant.
An Artistic Perspective
One thing we'd recommend the next time you visit J. Christopher’s at the Public House in downtown Roswell is to take some time to look around and enjoy some of the unique artwork that has been collected over the years.
